Oh what a week, at least that's the end of the plums.......well maybe, however once the Black Doris are picked there will be more plums in the house however they will all be made into jelly so thank god we've covered that off already!
Well, maybe all made into jelly, I may need to poach some for the Tones to have with his breakfast cereal, he quite likes them with his cornflakes....help him kick start his day.....but we won't go there!
One thing I have thought about is looking out for a dehydrator and give that a go next season, homemade prunes, now that's a thought.
Now I don't expect there to be much action in the kitchen this weekend, however, you never know, I might find something new in the garden that just has to be cooked! But really, I think I need to spend some time in the vegetable garden, it definitely needs some attention and I have a tonne of beans to sort, blanch and freeze - not my favourite job but it needs to be done so I will busy.

Just as an aside, I've just had a huge shock, I walked into the kitchen and a miracle had occurred, the girl child (13 years) had done the dishes without me asking. I need to sit down and have a drink, I can't believe it, I wonder what she wants.....hmmmm.
